Automatic External Defibrillation course syllabus

The course is 1/2 a Day

Attendance

The course is limited to 12 candidates (minimum 4)

Title 

AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATION (AED) 

Aim (areas covered)

• Basic life support - including an assessment of the candidates CPR skills
• Maintenance and care of the AED machine
• Indentification of when the use of the AED is nessary
• Why / How the AED has a positive effect
• How to use the AED machine 

 Course Requirments

Only open to current in date CPR certificates holders and a good level of written and spoken english is a must!

Assessment methods 

 Delegates will be continually assessed by their tutor throughout the course. At the end of the course delegates will receive a certificate of atendance valid for one year.

Resources required

None all resouces for the course are supplied by us (however you are welcome to bring you favourite pen or laptop)

However if the AED machine that the candidates are required to use could be made available this would be helpful
