Aim (areas covered)

• 24 hour back care
• Basic anatomy
• Legislation
• Safe principles
• Risk assessments
• Unsafe techniques
• Handling Aids
• Practical

• To raise awareness of safer moving and handling practices
• To enable delegates to take care of their back at work and home
• To enable those whose work involves moving and handling people to use techniques which may prevent injury
• To enable those with a history of back pain to use techniques which may prevent further injury
• To prevent occurrence of manual handling related injuries

 Course Requirments

Although there is no course requirement a good level of written and spoken english is a must!

Assessment methods 

 Delegates will be continually assessed by their tutor throughout the course. At the end of the course delegates will receive a certificate of atendance valid for one year.

Resources required

None all resouces for the course are supplied by us (however you are welcome to bring you favourite pen or laptop)
